Manajemen Pengelolaan Limbah Rumah Tangga Era Pandemi Covid-19 di Desa Lamsiteh Kecamatan Darul Imarah Kabupaten Aceh Besar

Abstrak

Garbage in Lamsiteh Village, Darul Imarah Sub-district, Aceh Besar District is still left alone, organic waste, especially dry leaves, is still burned, leftover food is piled up on the ground and has not been processed. Garbage that accumulates often becomes a nest of bacteria and germs that can interfere with public health especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This activity was carried out in Lamsiteh Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar District using several methods, namely lectures and questions and answers, Focus Discussion Groups (FDG), and workshops (Independent waste sorting management practices). The training participants are divided into groups of five to ten people. Each group was asked to practice how to sort organic and non-organic waste. Overall, PPM activities went smoothly and received positive responses from participants and the awareness and desire of the community to participate in creating a healthy environment has increased. The suggestion is that PPM activities are needed as a follow-up to the achievement of the results of the Independent Waste Sorting Management Training, namely in the form of monitoring and training on organic waste processing and utilization of non-organic waste, and the need for collaboration with the Aceh Besar District Environmental Service to assist in the transportation of household waste that is have been sorted by the community in Lamsiteh Village, Darul Imarah District, Kab. Aceh Besar.
